5 Tips To Achieve A Minimalist Home Office

5 tips to achieve a minimalist home office

When it comes to my working space I ideally like it to be clutter free. Not only is it easy to keep clean, but it also helps me to work more productively. Just having everything organized and tidy can stop me from feeling stressed and just help me to concentrate on the task at hand.

A minimalist decor is ideal for this and so I thought I would share my top five tips to help achieve a minimalist home office.

Storage

A minimalist decor can really help to keep things organized. So to help achieve this design, look for storage solutions to keep paperwork, stationary and bits and bobs tidied away and surfaces clean. If you live in a smaller space like an apartment, storage is key to be able to keep a room in this theme and it is also a great way to be able to know where everything is, so you don’t have to spend hours searching for something. Lots more time to concentrate on the task at hand. Read More »

IT Cosmetics has landed in the UK!

IT Cosmetics Review - UK launch on QVC

IT Cosmetics is a pretty big deal in the States, it’s one of the best-selling cosmetic brands and has received over 150 industry awards as well as bloggers & YouTubers a plenty featuring the products on a daily basis. Finally it has arrived over here in the UK, exclusive to QVC and last week I headed to QVC HQ to try out the products and get first hand knowledge on the brand itself.

If you aren’t aware of IT Cosmetics, it was created by Jamie Kern Lima, who was a former news anchor and suffered from many skin concerns including rosacea, hyperpigmentation and barely-there brows. As the way most brands start, Jamie found it hard to find products that really worked for her so she decided to develop her own. IT Cosmetics stands for ‘Innovative Technology’, is 100% cruelty free and has been developed with plastic surgeons and dermatologists, so you know what you are getting is the real deal here. When the girls at QVC were demonstrating the products for us, I was sitting there with my mouth open and was getting pretty excited about the results they gave.

So without further ado lets take a look at the products. The launch over here features some of the best-selling products including the Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer and the Universal Eyebrow Pencil. Read More »

6 Skincare Products Every City Girl Needs

6 skincare products for city living

Living or working in the City can leave your face and skin subjected to pollution and dirt on a daily basis. Constant travelling on the tube, bus or train puts you in constant contact with everyday aggressors as well as being surrounded by a mass of people. This not only affects your skin but your general wellbeing. Most of us can also be guilty of burning the candle at both ends, late nights and early mornings which don’t leave your skin looking all that good and of course we all have gone to bed with our make-up on.

Here are 6 skincare products that I would recommend for any City dweller.

REN Flash Defence Anti-Pollution Mist £24

REN’s Flash Defence Mist is a brand new product that launched this month and I’m hooked already. It acts as a shield to the skin and protects it from the ageing effects of environmental pollution and harmful effects of free radicals. As well as strengthening skin’s natural defences against oxidative stress and it’s ability to detox, it helps to stop that grey look and signs of fatigue that will occur throughout the day. I’ve been using it every day sprayed over make-up and definitely found I look less tired throughout the day, it’s also helped to keep my make-up on which it doesn’t promise at all. So a win win from me.  Read More »

U.S Beauty & Lifestyle Shopping Haul With GoSend

U.S haul with Go Send voucher code

Next month I am off to New York, which I am super excited about and have a beauty wish list longer than my arm. There are just so many products that aren’t available here in the UK that I want to get my hands on. Shopping on US websites can sometimes be easy, Sephora being one and Shopbop one of my favourites too, but others can be a damn right pain. I had my eyes on these amazing home decor pieces from an American retailer and then when I got to the checkout the duty and shipping charges were so much more than the items themselves, it just wasn’t worth it.

So when GoSend got in touch with me, I was super intrigued. They offer a shopping service which enables you to buy from ANY U.S online retailer and they provide you with a U.S shipping address so you can order whatever you heart desires. The items then arrive to your U.S address which is a locker. Each item is stored in your locker until you are ready to ship out everything. When they arrive GoSend take pictures of the items so you can check what each is and that it is what you ordered. Then when everything you have ordered arrives you just need to pay the shipping and they will have it all shipped out as one parcel, pretty great right? Read More »

Trying Out Crownbrush Makeup Brushes

Crownbrush 516 syntho set review

Until last year I only ever had a few make-up brushes, I know right wtf!? I’ve stuck with my trusty brushes, a mixture of Real Techniques and the odd one from Boots. Then I discovered Zoeva brushes which were amazing quality for the price and come in gorgeous sets, which started my slight addiction to needing a brush for everything. Another brand I’ve always wanted to try was Crownbrush. I’d seen so many bloggers and vloggers, as well as top make-up artists using Crownbrush make-up brushes and when I had a look they were also offering affordable brushes and sets.

Luckily Crownbrush got in touch with me and I opted to try the 516 Syntho Set. Each brush is made of synthetic bristles and are said to not absorb oil or products so they are very hypoallergenic. The set has ten brushes and comes in a leather look case, which is great for travelling or if you are a make-up artist, taking on a shoot easily. Read More »
