I absolutely love summer make-up collections, they always include gorgeous bronzers, pretty highlights and brighter colours that always seem to lift my spirits alongside the sunshine. Elizabeth Arden’s collection is no expectation this summer, Sunset Bronze had a beautiful packaging design that instantly got me excited about it and the collection itself creates the perfect summer look inspired by the sunset.
It really evokes the feeling of after the sun goes down with the bronzed look and warmer colours, set off with coloured highlights. This is definitely a look I’d wear in the evenings in summer – as well as during the day.
My favourite from the collection is the Limited Edition Sunset Bronze Prismatic Bronzing Powder £28. This is such a gorgeous bronzer, it really adds colour to your face and not in an orange way, but gives a real golden tan effect. It’s quite hard to find a bronzer that is right, I’m quite pale, so most of the time they are too orange, too dark or just not dark enough. This really won me over, it has a combination of bronzer and highlighting shades for a perfect bronzed glow. A great way to build up colour or set off your tan. It also has Argan Oil and Vitamin E to keep your face moisturised, which is great after a day in the sun. It comes in two colours Light/Medium and Medium/Dark. The shade shown here is Light/Medium.
Limited Edition Sunset Bronze Prismatic Eye Shadow Palette £25
This palette has five eyeshadow shades, all in a pretty pink palette with mirror and brush. The shades include a light base, pinks and purples to a couple of darker shades. I created a pink/purple smoky eye with this and I loved it. It was not what I would usually go for, but I really liked it and will definitely wear it again, as it set off a pink lip beautifully. You can create quite a few looks from these shades and even use them as just eyeliner.
Limited Edition Sunset Bronze Prismatic Lip Gloss £18
I tried two shades out of the three, these were Midnight Kiss a soft pink and Moonlight Kiss a lavender. There is also Sunset Kiss a more champagne colour. I must admit I don’t use gloss that often, I’m more of a lipstick girl but these were really lovely. They have aloe vera to soothe lis and also vitamins A,C and E to keep lips moisturised. The multidimensional pearls provide a prismatic effect and your lips will look slightly different in each light. I really loved the Midnight Kiss as a touch of highlight in the middle of my lip to catch the light.
There is also a Highlighter in the range which is £25 which I am yet to try but it looks equally as lovely as these pieces.
